Even the greatest corporate event ideas can have setbacks. After what happened in the last episode, the final instruction from the judge was that they would have to find us guilty unless we had proven we did not own the equipment. So the jury came back finding us guilty. The Judge then gave us suspended sentences and seized our goods.
It gets even worse. When I left the courtroom with my attorney, a reporter from the Orlando Sentinel who had covered the trail came up to us and told us that whatever I do, do not go back into the courtroom to collect the table fields I had used in my defense. If I did the police were standing by to arrest me for transporting gambling equipment across state lines which were a felony. I profusely thanked the reporter for saving me from another trial and conviction.
After this Michael Schultz and I were now convicted felons which opened up a whole lot of other problems. So my attorney and I immediately appealed the convictions and put a restraining order on the police department to block them from selling of our truck and its contents at auction. We then filed a motion with the court to allow us to remove all contents from the truck that was not considered gaming equipment i.e. lighting, sound and staging equipment. Boy, that made the police department happy.
A Few Great Corporate Event Ideas
When wheels turn and you get to be back on top, you get to find ways to get things going. Getting yourself back in business can be tough and getting ahead of the game would need fresh new ideas. Corporate events are quite lucrative as long as you got the right ideas.
There are many reasons to host a corporate event. You might be hosting an event to celebrate your employees, work on building effective teams in the workplace, or to connect with the community. No matter what type of event you host, you want to make it memorable. An incredible experience starts with a unique corporate event idea. Here are a few ideas to help you plan your next corporate event.
Return to Childhood
Let your event attendees return to the carefree days of childhood for a day with an awesome kidult event. This type of event can be organized for your employees or for your customers or clients. Bring in a bouncy castle, trampolines, a balance beam, swings, slides, and monkey bars. You can have other fun activities as well, such as hopscotch and jump rope.
Alternative Payment Café
There have been a few cases that have popped up in recent years that allow you to pay for your food and drinks with exercise rather than with money. This type of idea can be used for a corporate event as well. You can organize an event where your attendees pay for their meals and drinks with something other than money, whether it be exercise, a performance, or some other type of alternative currency. You may also choose to use the exercise concept for an event where the winner receives a significant prize.
Journey through the Seasons
With this type of event, you need four different sections, one for each season. This unique corporate event idea allows you to take your attendees on a journey, giving them a chance to reflect on what’s happened during the course of the year. For each section, you can have décor, activities, and games specific to each season.
Locavore Company Picnic
A company picnic is a great way to bring your employees together outside of the office. Instead of just doing any old regular picnic, though, why not feature food from locally owned restaurants and farms? With this type of picnic, you help to give back to your local community while enjoying some great food. Make sure to include music and fun games like croquet, bocce ball, and corn hole.
Escape rooms have become incredibly popular these days. If you’re looking for a corporate team building activity, this is one of the best. With this type of team building activity, your employees have to work together in order to escape the room in a set amount of time. Not only will it bring your employees together, but they’ll also have a lot of fun in the process.
Endurance or Obstacle Races
An endurance or obstacle race provides event attendees to show off their physical prowess while also having a great time. You can host a traditional type of endurance race, such as running or cycling, or you can host something like a 24-hour dance marathon. You can also add an additional challenge to a race by making it an obstacle course. You can make it grueling with climbing and mud or you can make it more fun with bouncy obstacles.
Companies all around the world are trying to become more socially responsible. As a result, volunteering events have gained significant popularity. Volunteering events help your company to give back while reinforcing its commitment to the community. Not only that, but volunteering events are also known for connecting individuals in working toward a common goal and boosting the mood.
A great corporate event begins with an incredible idea. While planning an event can seem like a daunting task, it doesn’t have to be. Thinking outside of the box can help you create a fun, memorable experience. And, you don’t have to do it alone.
