Incredible Interactive Activities for Corporate Events

To add fun to the trip we would raid the buses with machine gun toting 20’s style gangsters who would highjack them to our warehouse for the event. Once they would arrive they would notice that all the dealers, entertainment and food & beverage personal would be costumed to meet the speakeasy era. Obviously, we would work with the host hotel to provide all F&B requirements as we assisted in the theming of the stations and bars.

The event would last for 3 hours and we would end it with a raid with off duty police in Orange County Cars who would portend to raid the event and arrest the guests as they boarded the buses for their short ride back to the hotel.

This event was hugely successful and we sold overtime literally a 100 of these events in the warehouse. We stopped doing the event because one time when we pretended to highjack the group of guests a driver of a car on the backroad that had nothing to do with the event called the police to report what he saw on the road and the next thing we had was helicopters and SWAT police officers really raiding the event. Fortunately, we had some of the off duty officers get everything straightened out so the event could proceed. Another reason was that we could only handle 350 guests. We continued to produce the Speakeasy theme however in the hotels throughout Florida for several years until the Speakeasy theme had played itself out.

Lessoned Learned:

Corporate events help you to achieve a number of different goals. You can show your appreciation for your employees or thank your customers for their loyalty. There are corporate events for team building and introducing new products to your audience. No matter why you’re hosting an event, there should be some activities available. Activities can help to make the experience more memorable, and there’s not much more memorable than an interactive activity! Here are a few incredible interactive activities for your next corporate event.

Virtual and Augmented Reality Experiences

Virtual reality and augmented reality (VR and AR respectively) provide attendees with a truly unique opportunity. This incredible technology gives us the chance to experience something we might never be able to, or might be too afraid to, do otherwise. For instance, you can experience what it’s like to go skydiving or take off in shuttle launch. Both VR and AR are becoming more affordable and can give your attendees an unforgettable experience.

Responsive Flooring

The floor is the most overlooked aspect of any venue. After all, how many people actually look down at the floor during an event? Give them a reason to look down with a responsive floor. LED panels that respond to touch can delight your attendees and provide them with a lot of fun. If you don’t have the budget for LED floor panels, a projection can be used instead.

Customizable Swag

Offering swag bags at events is a common practice. Unfortunately, however, most swag winds up unused or thrown away, defeating its purpose. A creative corporate event activity is to offer customizable swag. This type of station gives your attendees the ability to still get free stuff (because who doesn’t like free stuff?) but helps to ensure that they’ll get swag they’ll actually use. And when they use it, others will see it, which helps to promote your company.

Campfires

Speakers are an important part of just about any event, but it can be quite boring to sit in a room and listen to the speaker talk. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a speaker. Instead, change the format. Try a campfire session instead. With this type of session, a facilitator guides the discussion with one or more individuals. The result is more of a conversation, which is much more laid back and more engaging for attendees.

Scavenger Hunt

If you have a big event, such as an exhibition, a scavenger hunt can be a great event activity. It can also make a great team building exercise for a large group. Provide a list of clues and send your attendees on a hunt through the exhibit hall to find different vendors. This type of activity is beneficial in many ways. It’s fun for your attendees. It helps the attendees to learn about the different vendors featured at your event. It also helps the vendors by giving them additional engagement.

Graffiti Wall

A graffiti board can be used in many different situations. You can celebrate an individual, honor a specific cause, or just give your attendees a chance to show off their creativity. You can paint a large wall with chalkboard paint or hang up rolls of paper. Or, if you want a more technologically advanced, and zero-waste option, opt for the digital graffiti board.

Cirque Show

It’s one thing to watch a Cirque performance from a distance, the performers on a stage. It’s a totally different experience to see dancers, gymnasts, and other performers up close and performing right on the event floor amongst attendees. You may also consider mimes and magicians to engage with your attendees, really getting them involved and giving them a fun, memorable experience.

Interactive activities for your corporate event can go a long way in making the event both fun and memorable. No one is likely to forget an event where they got to experience something they’ve never done before or got up close and personal with a professional performer.
